Kim is an Editorial Wedding Photographer — focusing on authentic candid moments, with a splash of flavour for documentary. Creating true colour, clean and crisp photographs that truely represent a wedding in an artistic form..

Tyke is a Wedding Videographer — creating films involving emotional touches, highlighting the spontaneous moments and the late night party hype.

We are the team behind Wild & Lawless.  Our values begin at the very first interaction with our couples. Establishing a relationship early — by the time your wedding rolls around, it's really like two of your close friends shooting your wedding!

We've travelled throughout parts of Australia to capture the best experience of a couples journey — they simply connect with us! It's the most special aspect of doing what we love.

We've been apart of so many couples fabulous day, continuing that foundation of our friendships with them long after their wedding has wrapped up. We get invested in our couples, seeing their path together grow overtime is something we adore.

Hey there! It's so great to meet you! I'm Kim, the half of Wild & Lawless.

As a kid, you'd always find me with a disposable Kodak camera that my dad would give me to take photos. We would go into the local camera shop in my hometown to get them developed, it was always so thrilling to look back at the photo's I would take once we received them back. I think that's where my love for film Photography really began.

I discovered my alter love for digital Photography early on as a 15 year old during High School, taking on Photography & Art as an elective to stick with my friends in what seemed to be such a bludge to get me through the school year. I came to realise that Photography was eye opening to a different concept of viewing the world.

Being able to create still images of moments in time really scratched an itch in my brain I didn't know I really had! Learning to use a dark room for film is one of my highlights looking back at my passion growing up.

I bought my first DSLR camera in 2017 straight out of High School and started experimenting with landscape photography, I even made a dedicated Instagram account at the time to showcase some of my photos - I wish i still had that account to look back on them!

Looking back, it's always been evident that I was meant to be a creative. It's not something forced, It has always naturally been apart of my life in ways I maybe have overlooked throughout my life. But, I have never felt so on path with my direction in life than I do right now being a Wedding Photographer here in the Hunter Valley, my home!

Being a creative, especially for other people, you need to care for your passion - and I definitely feel like I am exactly where I'm meant to be.

Hey! I'm Tyke and I'm the second half of Wild & Lawless with my partner Kim.

Surprisingly enough, Photography was also an elective of mine during High School! Going on many excursions for class meant I got to develop my passion for Photography, taking photos of the scenery of the Blue Mountains is a early moment I knew i wanted to be creative with my career.

From there, I got to photograph Surf Fest at Merewether and was featured in WSL, so epic! I was never about school really, i never got that satisfaction of wanting to go to University to study for a career. I've had many jobs that are so different from each other since I left high school in year 11, but it meant I had the chance to explore my creativity and branch out into the Wedding industry. From there, I got super invested into Videography and started my first business called Day Dream Visuals. I have rebranded a few times over the years, to Sandy Feet Films and the most successful entity being Films by Tyke.

I made this my full-time job in July 2021 just before Newcastle got put into lock down for COVID - probably not the best time to start being totally self employed, but i made it work!

I shot over 70 weddings in 2022! Catching up with postponed weddings due to the COVID lockdowns meant that my work was cut out for me. But, it was epic!

I created Wild & Lawless as a side business from Videography, often focusing on Engagements, Maternity and Couple sessions. It wasn't until 2022 where I booked my first Photography Wedding under Wild & Lawless.

And here we are now! Films by Tyke has been moved to Wild & Lawless where Kim and I have the ability to utilise both of our talents to create something seriously epic.

If it sound's like we would all get along, we would love to hear from you!
